The SUV clearly has room below the bed line for additional foot space.


I'm betting to make use of the mechanism that allows rear access in the SUV configuration. In the truck version, you’ll be able to slide the seats forward and access that space from the cab, turning it into a storage area, like how old single cab trucks had a folding seat with storage behind it. but in this case it will be the entire foot well of the (not installed) suv kit...
