CAMP MODE- Rear bed area heat duct option

Heating ducts to the bed area for those who buy the topper to enable a camp mode, heat on through the night. Hopefully it’s a HEAT PUMP

Wouldn’t the front vents supply ventilation since the rear cab partition will be removed? Of course the way the dash is designed I suspect it would be easy to create a duct from the front vents. Possibly 3D printed.

Unfortunately, as of now there is no heat pump. Only a resistance heater.

I suspect BahamaTodd is correct. Resistance heat is less complicated (less expensive) to implement, but is a huge battery drain when in use.

Curious how you're thinking to arrange the bed area for comfortable sleeping? I'm average height and really prefer to have 6+ feet to stretch out.

I was trying to work out a pop-up option for the roof, but waiting for more details. Suspect a teardrop trailer will be more practical.

To your question: might be small enough volume that ducts might not be needed. Or a small plug-in heater sitting in the back. I've used one of those on medium (750W) overnight in a Focus at 8 degrees, pretty cozy. Or a Mr.Heater small propane if you want to save battery.

Seats forward. Head at tailgate. Should have about 6’5” give or take.
feet will be hanging in the open though. Stuff it with some pillows.
