Hello - Been waiting a long time for regular cab with hand crank windows to be made. Just need something for light hauling around town. Everything else out there are 4 doors and loaded with stuff I do not want. Let's see how this goes. Hopefully not 850+ days, like my Bronco.

2 2024 Mavericks.
I'm in lets see what happens. I just retired from a testing lab, maybe I can do some real world testing for them. I'm in Michigan where the roads and weather suck.

Looks like a very interesting vehicle. I like the interior simplicity. Hope the price point holds.

So I am assuming $29,000 once you include destination. Still a good value and I would hope once production starts that a dual motor set up comes - looking at other companies going from one to two motors is not that expensive (c. $2000) but would increase utility and performance.
Impressed with what I have seen so far. Currently have a Rivian and am looking at a Slate for my daughter.

Hello. Interested in this concept as I think it is the future of car buying. Retired and thinking a pure ev might be a good local option for me for everyday, local use. Have a Maverick (1 st truck owned) and actually have used it more of a truck than I thought. Love the versatility. Welcome all

Hey-o!

Interesting thought process. Just sold my 2004 STX with crank windows. Last of the simple, basic trucks- code named: Steady Eddie. The cranks never failed, the AC still blows cold, heat works- simply put, solid and simple. The 17 year old kid who bought it said to me, "Wow dude! Did you have to custom order it for those cool retro window things?" My reply, "I'm so old, I can't remember..." :CWL:

Look forward to seeing an American Dream come true. Best of luck, thanks for the invite...I'll be watching.

Cheers,
E

This vehicle checks all the "needed" boxes. Both from a purpose standpoint and also from a nostalgia standpoint for those of us who have been on this earth long enough to both remember and appreciate the simplicity of a basic vehicle. Not a current EV owner, and the new Scout is the singular reason I have interest in them currently. If Slate can truly produce this vehicle as it sits, for the estimated price, I see it being a huge success and hopefully a kick in the a$$ to existing car manufacturers. Keep the price low, and the production on time, and Slate can't lose!

Hi, I'm from Cybertruck Owners Club, looking forward to see how this low cost EV truck stays at a low cost. Get one for my son
