Slate truck sale start date in 2026?

I've seen the news that the Slate Pickup will start production late 2026. Does that mean sales will start by end of 2026, or early 2027?

During the Slate reveal event, it was claimed (at about 21:39) that

our factory in Indiana is tooling up now preparing for first vehicles to reach our customers in Q4 2026

So yes, the current plan is for deliveries to start in late 2026. They could start taking real orders, via the online configurator, even earlier.

That doesn't mean that if you place a reservation now, you will get a truck in Q4 2026. That schedule could slip. And even if it doesn't, the actual deliveries in Q4 2026 could be very limited.
